Privacy Policy

Curtain is built to collect as little about you as possible. Our entire design is zero-knowledge: the things that would normally be tracked — where you browse and what you share — never reach us in a form we can read. This policy explains what that means in practice.

What we never collect

• Your browsing history. Curtain keeps no record of the sites you visit. Sessions are ephemeral and disappear when you close them.
• The links you seal. URLs are encrypted on your device before a curtain:// token is created. We cannot see the original address.
• Personal identifiers. We do not require an account to use Curtain, and we do not build advertising or tracking profiles.

What we may process

To operate and improve the product we may process a minimal amount of non-identifying data — for example, aggregate download counts, or anonymous crash diagnostics if you choose to send them. Any such data is stripped of personal identifiers and is never sold or shared for advertising.

Cookies

This website uses no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. We set only the essential storage needed for the site to function, and nothing that follows you elsewhere.

Your choices

Because we hold almost nothing about you, there is little to request or delete — but you may contact us at any time to ask what, if anything, is associated with you and to have it removed.

Using Curtain

Curtain is provided free of charge for personal and commercial use. You may install and run it on your own devices. You are responsible for the content you seal, share, or access through the browser, and for complying with the laws that apply to you.

Acceptable use

• Do not use Curtain to distribute unlawful content or to harm, harass, or defraud others.
• Do not attempt to break, overload, or reverse the security of the service in order to compromise other people's data.
• Do not misrepresent Curtain or use our name and branding in ways that suggest a partnership that does not exist.

No warranty

Curtain is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. While we work hard to keep sealing secure and reliable, we cannot guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and it is not a substitute for your own security practices.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Curtain and its makers are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the software.

Changes

We may update these terms and this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "last updated" date.
